ABOUT TEXAS ARTS PROJECT
The Texas Arts Project (TAP) is an intensive 3-week summer
training program for students ages 13-18 interested in strengthening
their skills in musical theatre, dance, voice, and acting.
Outstanding teaching, direction, and performance experiences
enhance skill, encourage cooperative work, and nurture self-confidence.
In the tradition of Theatre Focus, St. Stephen’s acclaimed
high school theatre program, TAP will emphasize nurturing
the imagination and creativity of each student.
Students select from classes in dance, voice, acting, playwriting,
filmmaking, visual arts, technical theatre and theatre production.
Rehearsals are conducted in the evenings and on weekends culminating
in a final performance showcase. Residents enjoy a wide variety
of outdoor camp activities and have the opportunity to attend
Austin’s live theatrical performances.
