The pond is fed by an 860’ deep well with 10 hp. 3-phase/480
volt pump which can pump 70 gallons per minute. The pump can
keep up with the irrigation of all the landscaped areas, avoiding
the need for more expensive city water.
The pond also features a 5 hp. 3-phase/480 volt conical shaped aerator
fountain which pumps 2200 gallons per minute. This keeps the water
in the pond healthy for the fishes as well as keeping down vegetation
buildup around the banks.
The large, heavy-gauge steel, gazebo style dock is wired with 110-volt
power and is perfect for fishing or entertaining. The pond has approximately
200 large channel catfish as well as several hundred hybrid bluegills
and about 50-75 Floridacross large-mouth bass (stocked in Spring
2000).
