Ashley and Zander will be in Steamboat from Sunday June 13 to Monday June 21. We realize that many of you are traveling a long distance to join us, so please stay as long as your schedule will allow. We’re officially kicking things off on Thursday June 17th, 5 - 8 PM, with an "East Meets West BBQ" at Jim and Susan Larson’s (Zander’s parents) Haymaker Ranch right in the heart of the Yampa Valley. This is not a working ranch but rather a place for some cattle to roam, shrimp to be skewered, and sausage to be savored all while surrounded by some of Routt County’s most stunning geological treasures, including Rabbit Ears Pass, Walton Creek Canyon, Lake Catamount, and the Yampa River.

Friday is an open day for golfing at Catamount or Haymaker, fishing, hiking, biking, swimming in the hot springs, horse-back riding, taking a hot air balloon ride, gondola ride, or just sitting back and capturing that ever-present rocky mountain high.

The wedding ceremony is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m at the Yampa Botanic Park. The reception will begin at 6 p.m. at Catamount Golf Club.

Transportation will be provided for both venues and on call all evening for rides back to your hotel--please do not drive.

While many of you have to get back home for work on Monday, anyone is welcome to stay and catch that elusive rainbow trout or take another dip in the hot springs. After all, if you ask a local how he or she ended up in this off-the-map mountain town, a frequent answer is “I came out to visit and never went back home.” While most visitors know about Steamboat from its famous champagne powder and friendly locals, those that actually made the move out here did so because of weather and wealth of things to do in the summertime.
